Majesty of Colors Is Playable

Great news: our remaster of (I Fell in Love With) The Majesty of Colors is now playable from beginning to end. We're still working on coding up the opening and closing narration and the menus, but the core of the game is complete with all of the original branches.

We've generally tried to be faithful to the original game I made in 2008, only doing minor graphical and usability enhancements, but in a few places we've added things that make the game closer to its initial vision. In the image attached to this post you can see one of those extra features.

When you pick things up in your tentacle, you can now throw them around! In the original game, they dropped straight down as soon as you let go of them. This felt really weird and was inconvenient for some of the trickier parts of the game. Now, thanks to our increased experience and the ease of modern physics engines, you feel more like a colossal beast who's able to toss sharks and torpedos hundreds of meters in the air above the ocean.

We're still adjusting the feel of things, including throwing strength and the mass of throwables, but it's already exciting to be able to toss things about in the game from beginning to end.

We're looking forward to being able to share with you the enhanced native version of this web classic. We're working as hard as is healthy for us in order to get it done as quickly as is feasible!
